About the Lighting Research Center The Lighting Research Center (LRC) is part of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute of Troy, N.Y., and is the leading university-based research center devoted to lighting. Light Pollution Guide Geared to Outdoor Lighting Professionals The latest in the National Lighting Product Information Program's (NLPIP's) Lighting Answers series, Lighting Answers: Light Pollution, is now online. The report provides pointers to lighting professionals about how to minimize the effects of light pollution. The three elements of light pollution are covered in detail.
