About the Lighting Research Center The Lighting Research Center (LRC) is part of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute of Troy, N.Y., and is the leading university-based research center devoted to lighting. Parsons School of Design Creating Masters of Light Reflecting the growing importance of lighting as a discipline, the Parsons School of Design in New York, N.Y. has announced that it is creating a two-year Masters of Light program. The curriculum offered beginning in September 2004 will continue to have a strong technical foundation, while expanding upon topics such as: Light perception As Parsons Lighting Program director, JoAnne Lindsley will continue to guide a faculty of 30 designers and industry leaders. Lindsley is immediate past president of the International Association of Lighting Designers and principal of Lindsley Consultants, Inc.
